Grimsby Town have secured midfielder Geza David Turi on a new contract that runs until the end of the 2027-28 season. The 24-year-old Faroe Islands international has become a key figure since arriving from Vikingur in January 2025.
Turi has made 40 league appearances for the Mariners and scored his first goal for the club in a recent 2-0 victory over Bristol Rovers. His strike, assisted by Charles Vernam, helped secure three points in a match that also saw Kieran Green find the net.
Manager David Artell highlighted the player's development as a reason for the new deal. "He's a player who has shown a real willingness to learn and improve," Artell said.
The contract extension comes as Grimsby sit third in League Two with 13 points from seven games. Their recent form shows two wins and three draws from the last five, putting them just two points behind leaders Barnet.
Turi's commitment is a boost ahead of the next fixture away to Newport County. Fans can check the upcoming fixtures for details on that trip and the rest of the schedule.
